| Although my painting style is realistic, I find that by loosening the over all painting it becomes a more impressionistic piece of art. My objective, is to have a painting become something to be treasured, and passed down from one generation to the next. A popular request is for composite paintings created from your favorite photos. A family portrait can be painted from many different photos. This type of portrait can usually tell a story. I will study them to determine if the lighting on each will be compatible in the finished piece. When asked to create posthumous portraits, I approach this with great care and consideration in order to capture the true personality and essence of the subject. These portraits are usually of great comfort to the client. If done right, you will feel as though the person will be there with you forever. "I really love the challenge that these present, and become very involved with the spirit of the subject." |
